Number codes on MLP from Blind Bags

Postby enamedena » Wed Apr 06, 2016 7:57 am

Hi!
As being rather new in Pony world i started collecting ponies from Blind Bags but at the end I don't know how to sort them.
I used your check list but it is no help to find what wave they belong to.
On them I can find 5 number code on front leg,and some #code on back leg but not even one is the same as in database.
Can anyone explain what those numbers stand for and how to recognize what wave they are?

We've made a post about it. :) The codes in our database show which one is in the packaging but one of the codes is the production code which translates when it was made. Which Blind Bags do you have? Perhaps I can help ID them.

Most of them don't have the bag or the card, just ponies!
And no letters code on them so that doesn't help.
All number codes doesn't work either because they are not the same as in this Database!
I'll try to put up a picture so you can see what I'm taking about!

Hi enamedena,

The # codes on the bottom of the figures are just an indication of their production date, and are not strictly tied to a wave (it could overlap)
Though, you could check the below rule of thumb to see what waves were produced in which years, which can help you find the matching blind bag wave:

#0 - Wave 1
#1 - Wave 2-3
#2 - Wave 3-7
#3 - Wave 7-10
#4 - Wave 10-12
#5 - Wave 12-14
#6 - Wave 14+
